Substitution

This week in maths I have ben working on substitution. Substitution in maths means replacing a number with a letter. Kinda of like in rugby, number 9 comes off and is replaced by number 21.
Here is some of the practice work I have been doing

2. Substitute the values given in the following formulae to find the value of the unknown variable. Make sure that the correct units are given.

(a)	V = d/t	find the velocity v, when d = 80 km and t = 4 hours
(b)	A = l w	find the area A of a rectangle , when l = 20 cm and w = 5 cm
(c)	C = 2πr	find the circumference C, when π = 3 and r = 8 cm
(d)	V = 1/3Ah	find the volume V, when A = 21 cm2 and h = 6 cm

You know how sometimes someone you don't know leaves a nice, friendly comment on your blog?
Today I am going to show you how to leave a quality comment.

• Be positive, don't say mean things like, i don't like how you did this or i can do better than that.
• If you can make a connection make one! e.g if Timmy wrote on a post on his blog and posted his story about breaking his arm and you read it you could say tell Timmy that once you broke your arm too!
• Have good grammar. People need to understand what you've written in your comment.
• Ask a question! People love being asked questions about their work so it would be great if you ask one

Is it Legal???

Hi Guys,

Today we are going to be looking at atributtion. Did you know that when you search up something on google images and take an image, you can get fined? This is because it is not your photo and you have to get permission from the owner of the photo. But there is another way that I am going to show you.

Go to google and search what you want to search e.g Pizza
See that settings in the top right corner? Click that

Next Click advanced search. It should take you to this page.

Go to the button that says usage rights. Click on it

It will give you some options click the bottom one that says free to use, share,modify even commercially. Then click advanced search and you can use any of the images!
